| King Edward Medical University is a public sector medical university situated in Lahore, Pakistan. It was established as Lahore Medical College in 1860 by British Raj. It was renamed as King Edward Medical College in December 1911 after Edward VII. It was one of the oldest medical institution in Indo Pakistan Sub-Continent. It was elevated to the status of an independent, degree-granting university on 12 May 2005, when it became King Edward Medical University. |
